With eight categories, interactive rounds like the Dirty Dozen and Table Annihilation, video questions, and the strategic Joker Card, there's plenty happening throughout the night.

How Does Quiz Night Work?

Quiz Night takes place every Monday at 8:00 PM at The Melting Pot Saloon in Ubud.

Throughout the night, teams work their way through eight different categories, testing their knowledge across a variety of subjects. Some rounds follow a traditional question-and-answer format, while others change things up with video clips and interactive challenges.

You'll also need to decide when to play your Joker Card, which can double your team's points for one category.

Then there are two rounds that make Quiz Night at The Melting Pot a little different: Dirty Dozen and Table Annihilation.

Eight Categories to Test Your Knowledge

With eight categories throughout the evening, your team can draw on different interests and strengths.

You don’t need to be an expert in every subject to contribute. Some categories, including Music and Movies & TV, feature video questions shown on our large screen with speakers. These rounds bring clips into the quiz alongside the traditional questions, giving your team another way to test its knowledge.

The Dirty Dozen

The Dirty Dozen is one of the special rounds you'll encounter during Quiz Night.

Instead of a standard trivia question with a single answer, teams face three questions with 12 possible answers each. That means knowing one answer isn't necessarily enough. You'll need to dig a little deeper, work together and see how many correct answers your team can come up with. It's a round that can reward broad knowledge across the whole table.

Table Annihilation

Then there's Table Annihilation.

Each team selects three representatives to take part. Players remain standing as questions are asked, with incorrect answers gradually eliminating competitors from the round. As more players are knocked out, the field gets smaller and the pressure increases. It's part trivia, part survival, and one of the rounds that gets the whole room involved — whether you're still standing or watching your teammates fight to stay in.

Choose Your Joker Card Carefully

Every team receives one Joker Card to use during the night.

Before a category begins, your team can choose to play the Joker on that category. Whatever points you earn during that round are doubled. But there's a catch: you can only use it once.

Do you play it early on a category your team feels confident about, or hold onto it and hope something even better comes along later? Choosing the right moment can make a big difference.

No Team? No Problem — Solo Players Are Welcome

You don't need to arrive with a full team to join Quiz Night.

Solo players are welcome, making Monday Quiz Night an option for travellers and anyone visiting Ubud who wants to get involved without already knowing a group of people. Come along by yourself, bring a friend, or see whether you can join forces with other players on the night.
